RAW FOR THE OCEANS WITH PHARREL WILLIAMS

Using recycled materials for garments and objects is a global trend . This not only raises awareness about the planet; also gives added value that influences the process of purchase.On 5th September 2014, was revealed the RAW for the Oceans Spring/Summer ’15 collection at New York Fashion Week.RAW for the Oceans is a collaborative project that takes plastic from the world’s oceans and transforms it into innovative denim and apparel.G-Star RAW for the Oceans line, an environmentally-friendly range of denim made in collaboration with Williams’ Bionic Yarn company. Bionic Yarn creates fabrics made from plastic recycled bottles, and G-Star RAW incorporated the textile into the denim they put out for this season.
