THE BEAUTY OF NATURE BY BELUSSO
I like how Belusso uses to cut and pattern to create an innovative collection yet very elegant. The 2016 collection, presented during the recent MIAMI SWIM SHOW, was inspired by the ebb and flow of nature and it's imperfections, moving sand, feathers, and more. The LA-made brand was founded in 2008 featuring chic swimwear and lightweight coverups that prove laid-back can be luxe. Graphic prints and innovative fabrics have easily made the label a coveted swim staple with celebrities like Jessica Biel, Eva Longoria, Chrissy Teigen, Miranda Kerr, and more.Original prints include one inspired by sand art, an interpretation of designer Kirsten Ehrig-Sarkisian's favorite artist out of Sante Fe. The resurgence of the color cargo is combined with antique gold that adds a luxe feel to the collection. This seasons collection was an evolution from 2015, with the feather and triangle print echoed in the Pascha series, which are now featured in the embroidery throughout the collection. Kirsten reintroduced the signature one-pieces and retro high waisted bottoms inspired by Bridgette Bardot and launched a new tunic style with laser cut-outs in 100% silk imported from Italy.
